Pitching, defense lead Lady Steers to win

Big Spring High School Softball Coach John Sparks said the Lady Steers will have to rely on pitching and defense for any success they have this season.

A prime example of Sparks' comments came Wednesday. Big Spring managed only three hits against San Angelo Central, but received sterling performances from pitcher Logan Yarbar in particular and the Lady Steers' defense in general en route to a 3-1 victory over San Angelo Central at the BSHS Softball Complex.
