Josh Siggins once again earned the All-Around Cowboy title for the weekend and led the Howard College men to a first place team finish this past weekend at the Odessa College rodeo in Odessa.
Siggins brought home the sixth place finish in the average for calf roping and partnered with teammate Cullen Teller to bring home second in the average for team roping.
The duo performed well for the second rodeo this spring with a 7.4 time in the long round and 6.0 in the short.
BROWNWOOD — The Big Spring High School boys' golf team has claimed the early edge in District 5-3A competition.
Paced by Blake Brorman's 4-under-par 68, the Steers shot a team total 308 to lead the district by 10 strokes after first-round play Monday in Brownwood.
Abilene Wylie was second at 318, while Sweetwater held the third spot with a team total of 324.
COAHOMA — When the Coahoma Bulldogs break out of an offensive slump, they don't fool around.
The Bulldogs exploded for 20 hits en route to a 21-6 rout of Denver City in District 3-2A baseball action Monday.
Just about everybody got in on the act offensively for Coahoma. Aaron Gonzales was 3-for-4 with a triple and double, Dakota Griffith and Adrian Grant each had grand slam home runs, Tanner Ruiz was 2-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored and Keith Martin and Josh Castilaw each went 3-for-4 at the plate.
