Chamber tournament tees off Friday

This weekend teams will face off at the Crossroads of West Texas Golf Classic.

The Chamber of Commerce will be hosting it's annual golf tournament May 20, 21, and 22 at the Big Spring Country Club Golf Course.

“This is a great way for the chamber to raise funds,” Scott Mackenzie, chairman of the Chamber golf tournament, said. “The more funds that can be raised, the more the chamber can do for its members.”

Buffs, Bulldogs highlight 3-2A all-district team

FORSAN — Brothers Foster and Trevor Burchett led a parade of eight Buffaloes who were named to the All-District 3-2A baseball team.

Foster, a junior, was named the district's defensive player of the year, while Trevor, a sophomore, was selected the league's newcomer of the year.

Joining the Burchetts on the all-district first team are senior pitcher Dylan Lowery, junior first baseman Patrick Robles and senior catcher Zane Herrin.
