Anyone who has watched the Howard College softball team knows that, to a large degree, the Hawks will go as far as their bats will take them this postseason.
Fueled by one of the most potent offensive attacks in team history, the Hawks finished third in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference with a 19-6 mark, and they hope their bats remain hot as they prepare to open play at the Region V Softball Tournament, which begins Thursday at Lubbock Christian University.
FORSAN — As Yogi Berra might say, it's like deja vu all over again.
When the Forsan High School boys' track contingent competes in the upcoming Class 2A state track and field meet in Austin, first-time jitters will not be in abundance.
That's because, for the most part, the same athletes will be competing in the same events on the same stage as they did at this time last year.
