Steers down but not out

September 22, 2011

The Big Spring Steers will travel to Midland for a special Saturday edition of Steers' football this weekend, where they will take on the 1-2 Midland Christian Mustangs at Grande Communications Stadium.
The Steers are coming off of a disappointing 39-3 loss at Monahans, while the Mustangs — after a bye week — are coming off of a 20-15 win in Monahans.

Standout receiver Toby Rodgers will sit out the game with what is being called concussion-like symptoms. Rodgers was injured on a long pass attempt late in the game in Monahans last week.
