Garden City — Head Coach Matt Odom was tasked with bringing back Garden City's winning tradition. Six games into the season, the Bearkats have notched only one win.
Garden City hosted a formidable Robert Lee (5-1) squad on Friday and although they played the Steers tough, lost the battle 30-14 — a fairly narrow defeat by six-man standards.
It isn't all bad in Garden City, however, as Head Coach Matt Odom's squad has played a brutal predistrict schedule and despite suffering through injuries to key players, he feels his team has improved since the first game.
FORSAN — After winning their first four games of the season, the injury-plagued Forsan Buffaloes have now dropped two straight after a 43-0 rout by the Sundown Roughnecks on Friday at Buffalo Stadium.
Forsan — despite missing five offensive starters — the Buffs looked strong early in the matchup as Forsan kept the chains moving, but were ultimately stopped by an aggresssive Roughneck defense — who clearly used its size advantage over the Buffaloes.
