Lady Steers down Kermit, Steers to take on Permian

MONAHANS — Yaneira Tuitt banked 15 points as well as 10 rebounds and five blocks and Chellsie Clay added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists to guide the Lady Steers to a 39-24 tournament-opening win over Kermit.

BSHS (8-5) resumes play today in Monahans.

LAMESA — The Steers (4-5) will kick off their tournament today against Odessa Permian at 1:30 p.m. The Steers are coming off back-to-back overtime wins against San Angelo Lake View.
