Monahans slips past BSHS freshman teams

The Grady Wildcats put together a 17-6 run in the first eight minutes of the third quarter on Tuesday and then raced to a 62-55 come-from-behind win over the Sands Mustangs.

The Colorado High School Wolves received a late Christmas gift on Tuesday. In fact, they received two in their matchup with the Coahoma High School Bulldogs.

Hawks, Lady Hawks to play big games with OC tonight

Make no mistake about it, there will be plenty of offense on display this evening when the Howard College men’s and women’s basketball teams take to the court at the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum to face off against Odessa College.
There could also be a few changes in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference men’s standings when the smoke clears. The Howard College and Odessa College men enter tonight’s game tied for second in the WJCAC standings with 3-1 records.

Lady Steers survive slow start, upend Monahans in key 4-3A battle

The Big Spring High School Lady Steers survived a slow start on Tuesday evening and then rolled to a convincing 47-32 win over the Monahans Lady Loboes in a key District 4-3A matchup.

Mims, Fannin power Forsan to 80-70 win over Seagraves

FORSAN - Matthew Mims poured a game-high 30 points and teammate Kade Fannin added 20 more on Tuesday night and helped lead the Forsan High School Buffaloes to a thrilling 80-70 win over the Seagraves Eagles in high school boys’ basketball action.

Monahans runs past Big Spring, 55-40

The Big Spring High School Steers got off to a slow start offensively on Tuesday night. The Monahans Loboes made them pay for it dearly.
Monahans built a 14-point lead in the first quarter and raced to a 55-40 victory over the Steers in a key District 4-3A matchup in Monahans.
With the loss, the Steers fell to 8-11 for the season. More importantly, however, Big Spring slipped to 0-2 in district play.
