COAHOMA - The Denver City Mustangs posted a huge run over the final four minutes of the first quarter on Friday night and cruised to a 71-27 win over the Coahoma Bulldogs on Friday night in District 4-2A action.
Itâ€™s been five years since the 2009 JUCO National Championship baseball team has been on the campus of Howard College but they are returning for a reunion this weekend. The 2009 champs will be reuniting for an exhibition game against the 2014 Hawks on Saturday, at 1 p.m.

The Colorado High School Wolves received a late Christmas gift on Tuesday. In fact, they received two in their matchup with the Coahoma High School Bulldogs.

The Big Spring High School Lady Steers survived a slow start on Tuesday evening and then rolled to a convincing 47-32 win over the Monahans Lady Loboes in a key District 4-3A matchup.
FORSAN - Matthew Mims poured a game-high 30 points and teammate Kade Fannin added 20 more on Tuesday night and helped lead the Forsan High School Buffaloes to a thrilling 80-70 win over the Seagraves Eagles in high school boysâ€™ basketball action.
The Big Spring High School Steers got off to a slow start offensively on Tuesday night. The Monahans Loboes made them pay for it dearly.
Monahans built a 14-point lead in the first quarter and raced to a 55-40 victory over the Steers in a key District 4-3A matchup in Monahans.
With the loss, the Steers fell to 8-11 for the season. More importantly, however, Big Spring slipped to 0-2 in district play.
