During their Tuesday meeting, Big Spring City Council members unanimously approved a performance agreement with the local Economic Development Corporation that will result in expansion of the railroad spur at McMahon-Wrinkle Airpark.

Douglas Patrick Irwin, age 43, of Big Spring, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, due to a car accident in Andrews County, Texas.
He was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on March 17, 1971, to Billy Gene Irwin and Velma Correne Stidham. He worked as an oilfield mechanic for Best Services.
Doug was a feisty redneck and a hard working man who was often seen wearing a hard hat. A country boy, he loved wearing boots and cowboy hats and played guitar, singing old country songs.
Billy Ray Wells, 40, of Midland, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Belvue Church of Christ, 611 Carroll St., Stanton. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Stanton.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at the Gilbreath Funeral Home, 209 North St. Charles, Stanton.
Billy was born Jan. 11, 1974, in Andrews and grew up in Odessa. He was a construction contractor his whole life.
Carla Sabrina Cuviello, 46, of Big Spring, Texas, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
She was born on June 13, 1968, in Big Spring, the daughter of Constance Howard and Freddie Williams.

Dallas used the 3rd quarter to put this game out of reach. After a tightly contested first half the score was 14-7 in Dallasâ favor. Dallas was able to use an early second half turnover to score a 24 yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Cole Beasley. They used great field position to tack on 2 more touchdowns before the end of the 3rd quarter to make the score 35-7. Chicago made the game somewhat close thanks to a 21 point fourth quarter of their own, but it was too little, too late.
The Big Spring High Schoolâs top actors will tackle a timeless Christmas classic in their next production âA Christmas Carol,â by Charles Dickens.
âThis is a radio version so there will not be any scenery or costumes but we will have sound effects,â said Chelsea Prettyman, high school theater teacher. âThe actors are going to have to play several different parts and will have to change up their voices to fit the part they are playing.
A public performance will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at the high school auditorium, 707 E. 11th Place. There is no admission fee.
