Several families have made an impact in the history of Howard and Glasscock counties, which is why the Heritage Museum continues to pay tribute and recognize pioneer families.
“We wouldn’t be the communities that we are if it wasn’t for those families who pioneered it all,” Museum Director Nancy Raney said.
This year, two families sharing the same last name but no relation were honored as the Howard and Glasscock County Pioneer Families — G.R. (Rob) and Myra Robinson were recognized for Howard County and W.L. Robinson was honored from Glasscock County.
If you’re an Aggie, are friends with an Aggie or don’t mind helping an Aggie, the Howard County A&M Club needs your help.
For the 13th consecutive year, the club will hold its WesTexAgs Shootout to raise scholarship money to support area public school students attending Texas A&M University.
Anyone, regardless of whether they’re an Aggie, is welcome to attend.
