Jovanni Ruben Dominguez, son of Victoria Patterson and Ruben Dominguez of Big Spring, was born Dec. 6, 2011.
He weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and measured 19 Â½ inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Reveille Patterson and the late Harvey Patterson of Big Spring.
Lynnix-Jo Marie Aguilar, daughter of Raul Joe Aguilar III and Jennifer LeeAnn Wells of Big Spring.
She was born Dec. 28, 2011, at 9:56 a.m.
She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.
Her maternal grandparents are Tina and Eddie Word and Jeff Wells. Paternal grandparents are Christie and Raul Aguilar.
She was welcomed home by her brother, Gavin Blaze.
Big Spring Independent School District board members were told Thursday the effort to achieve the designation of becoming an early college high school is well on its way.
One of the main issues discussed Thursday night was in regards to Big Spring ISD possibly being designated as an early college high school. If the school receives the designation, courses following the program will begin next semester.

â€¢ ERICK DAVE HERNANDEZ, 32, of 1502 Bluebird, was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving while intoxicated â€“ blood alcohol level more than 0.15.
â€¢ FELICIA ALDRIDGE, 25, of 3304 W. Highway 80 Apt. 37, was arrested Thursday on a warrant from another agency.
â€¢ TRISTAN MARCEL WARD, 20, of 2628 Dow, was arrested Thursday on warrants for failure to appear (four counts), no driver's license â€“ when unlicensed and disregarding a stop sign.
While county officials have given the go-ahead to lift the burn ban that has been in effect for more than a year-and-a-half, municipal officials warn city residents to be reticent of local ordinances before burning any materials within the city limits.
Big Spring Fire Marshal Carl Condray said the lifting of the ban — which Howard County Judge Mark Barr made official Monday during a meeting of the commissioners court — could cause some confusion among city residents.
Gary Lee Thompson (Yank), 69, of San Angelo, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at a local hospital. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the Primera Church of San Angelo. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Thompson of San Angelo; daughters, Scarlet Skifton and Christina Thompson of North Dakota, and Bridgette Thompson, Missy Parske and Rachel Thompson, all of San Angelo; and sons C.B. Thompson of Odessa and Kevin Thompson of Big Spring.
Debra Kay Clark, 50, of Granbury, formerly of Big Spring, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Granbury. No service is scheduled. Visitation was held Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Martin's Funeral Home.
Debra was born Feb. 10, 1961, in Midland to Billy Dee and Carolyn Wright Clark.
Survivors include a son, David Rose; daughters, Brandy Coleman, Meagan Capron, Heather Capron, Sarah Capron and Jacelyne Elliott; brothers, Cary Stiles, Wayne Clark, Mike Stiles; sisters Lynn Lair, Christi Wealott, Carolyn Stiles and Debra Lynn.
Robert Schenck, 42, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Robert was born in Big Spring, Texas, on Jan. 15, 1971. He enjoyed the outdoor life, camping and wanted to be a meteorologist. He collected coins of all kinds and loved animals.
Robert is survived by one sister, Debbie Schenck of Midland; brothers, Allen Schenck of Greenwood, Johnny Schenck of Big Spring; and many nieces and nephews.
Paul "Pete" Petree, 70, of Midland died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in a Houston hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton with Arthur Allen, High Priest of the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the Gilbreath Funeral Home in Stanton.
