The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ JASON RANDALL PORTER, 24, of 502 N. Runnels, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ DIMITRI ANDREW LEOS, 20, of 710 E. 17th St., was arrested Wednesday on a charge of consumption of alcoholic beverage by a minor.
â€˘ ALYSSA CRISELDA LOPEZ, 23, of 4204 Dixon, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ YENISSIA RAMERIZ VIERA, 27, of 1401 N. Highway 87, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
Lexie Kaylin Lockhart, 22 months, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, in Big Spring. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel.
Lexie was born Aug. 2, 2010, in Odessa, Texas, to Dana Lockhart.
Lexie is survived by her mother, Dana Lockhart of Big Spring; grandmother, Joyce Coffman; grandfather, Mike Lockhart; aunt, Tammy Lockhart; and sisters, Brylie Star Elizabeth Lockhart and Kaylie May Kaczyk, all of Big Spring.
Municipal water customers in Big Spring will get an additional two hours to water their lawns beginning this week. City manager Gary Fuqua announced Tuesday night water consumption has fallen well below limits set by the local water district.
According to Fuqua, the Colorado River Municipal Water District recently set the city's water consumption limit at 6.3 million gallons per day.
The city of Coahoma will have the final patriotic word this Independence Day holiday, as the small West Texas hamlet gets ready to present its annual Freedom Parade on Saturday, July 7.
According to Coahoma Mayor Warren Wallace, the parade will kickoff in the Coahoma High School Stadium parking lot, located adjacent to First Street.
â€śThis year we'll be doing the judging a little bit different than we have in years past,â€ť Wallace said. â€śThis year we'll actually do the judging before the parade begins, so the parade entries will need to be in place and ready to be judged by 9:20 a.m.

â€˘ MICHAEL ANGELO DORADO, 21, of Seminole, Texas, was arrested Tuesday on two warrants from other agencies.
Bennie Maurine Pittman, 58, was born Jan. 18, 1954, and went to meet her heavenly father June 24, 2012, so she could play that white baby grand piano in heaven. She started her battle with leukemia February 2011 and continued to fight until God called her home. She was at Baylor Cancer Hospital, Dallas, where she touched the lives of many doctors and nurses.
Funeral services for Maurine will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Big Spring with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Janie Jeffcoat, 67, of Midland died Tuesday, June 26, 2012, in a Midland hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Binnix officiating.
She was born Jan. 6, 1945, in Big Spring, Texas. She was a homemaker, a devoted mother and a Baptist.
Eugene Coleman, 68, of Midland died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Howard County. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel with Pastor Joe Russo, of Stonegate Fellowship officiating.
Eugene was born Feb. 5, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas, and married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Brenda Woods on Nov. 21, 1962, on the farm in Knott.
Coy Lee Mitchell passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at home in Odessa, surrounded by the memories of 68 years of life and love under the dusty skies of West Texas. His wife, Dorothy McCollum Mitchell, was with him as he peacefully slipped away from this world after a long health battle.
DAINGERFIELD â€“ Thomas McLain (Papa Tom) Spell Jr., 81, died Sunday, June 24, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home, Daingerfield. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs, Norman Miller and Andy Spell officiating. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery in Jefferson under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield.
He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Stephenville, Texas, to Thomas and Viola Spell.
