The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ WILLIAM SCOTT SIMPSON, 49, of 1300 Stanford, was arrested Monday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ ARTHUR LYNN RICHARDSON, 48, of 906 Douglas, was arrested Monday on warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility (two counts) and speeding.
â€˘ JUAN ARNULFO CARDINA, 26, of 109 Algerita, was arrested Monday on a warrant for driving while intoxicated â€“ open container.
Lonnie Ferrell Anderson, 70, of Coahoma, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at the Coahoma Church of Christ with Eddy Pitchford officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
He was born March 9, 1941 in Big Spring to Luther "Bud" and Vera Dell Anderson. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Kiser, on Oct. 7, 1960.
Tammy Lynn Torres, 47, of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with Chaplain Cherise Felty officiating.
She was born April 26, 1964, in Los Angeles, Calif. She moved to Big Spring five years ago from Lompoc, Calif.. She was a Christian and a housekeeper.
Selestino Hernandez, 60, of Big Spring, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Elizar P. Cantu, 68, of Ackerly, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Glen R. Overton, 80, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
