Enrique Sotelo, 88, of North Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Big Spring passed away Aug. 27, 2011, at his daughters home in North Little Rock. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Deacon Clemente Villa officiating.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Funeral services for Lafern Webb, 64, of Ackerly will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Ackerly with Randy Hardman officiating. Burial will follow in Ackerly Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation was held Sunday at Branon Funeral Home in Lamesa.
Mildred Bean, 90, of Eastland passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at the First Christian Church in Eastland with Jim Wright officiating. Burial will be at the Eastland City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hangar 25 Air Museum is looking for some folks who have a little spare time on their hands, according to board member Sherry Hodnett.
â€śVolunteers allow the director of the museum to get out in the public and do more PR (public relations) while not having to worry about all the other things getting done,â€ť Hodnett said. â€śIt also frees up time for the director to get out in the community and take part in programs informing people about the museum.â€ť

Buckled up safely and ready to go â€” that was the message Saturday morning at the Safe Kids San Angelo program at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
SMMC/Healthy Woman teamed up with Safe Kids in order to provide the Big Spring community with an opportunity to get children in proper car seats. Numerous volunteers, including Healthy Woman members, Big Spring Police Department, Department of Public Safety troopers, SMMC employees and Safe Kid representatives were on hand.

â€˘ ADRIAN CARRILLO, 22, of 2610 Albrook, was arrested Saturday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ JOSE LUIS RIVERA, 23, of 1900 Martin Luther King Blvd. Apt. 303, was arrested Saturday on warrants for theft and criminal trespass.
â€˘ ANTONIO JESSE ESCAMILLA, 27, of 2010 Loop Rd., was arrested Saturday on a warrant for no driver's license â€“ when unlicensed.
Howard County Sheriff Stan Parker confirmed Friday damages awarded to three Crossroads residents as a result of the 2008 explosion at the Big Spring Refinery have been paid after a writ of execution was issued in the lawsuit.
Plaintiffs Beverly Smithie and Ron and Debra Walker were awarded more than $350,000 for property repair and medical expenses in 118th District Court in December after a jury found Alon USA — owner of the refinery — guilty of negligence in the accident that shook the Big Spring area Feb. 18, 2008.
Repairs are finally beginning on Lady Liberty and before long she will be back where she belongs — in front of the Municipal Auditorium.
After a few chance circumstances, Terry Kessler, owner of Hester's Mechanical Contractors Inc., decided to not only take a look, but agreed to help repair the Statue of Liberty replica that was toppled from its perch in front of the auditorium earlier this year.

â€˘ NOLAN-CASEY RAYMOND-LU MOORE, 22, of 600 Avondale, was arrested Friday on charges of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces and disorderly conduct/noise.
â€˘ AMBER RENEE RAMIREZ, 27, of 611 N. San Antonio, was arrested Friday on charges of driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
