The old saying goes that sometimes, you have to bow to the obvious — and it was obvious Tuesday night that the Snyder Tigers are a very good baseball team.
The Tigers dominated all phases of their district opener vs. Big Spring, running away with an 11-0 run rule victory over the Steers in Steer Park Tuesday evening.
The Big Spring Lady Steers would like to have a few innings back from their game against Snyder Tuesday afternoon.
Big Spring jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead, then watched as that advantage vanished under an avalanche of Lady Tiger runs during the course of an 11-4 Snyder victory in District 5-3A softball action at the Big Spring ISD softball complex.
The Lady Steers (13-14 overall, 1-1 in district action) scored the game's first two runs in the bottom of the first, taking advantage of four Snyder errors in the process.

After several days of poring over and researching the municipal charter amendment submitted by way of petition by local citizens, City Attorney Linda Sjogren issued her legal opinion on the document Monday, which she says contains several inconsistencies in language.
Steve Campbell, member of the Concerned Citizens Council and one of the coordinators for the petition, explained the amendment shortly after it was submitted to city officials.
