The agenda for Tuesday's meeting of the Big Spring City Council is rather brief, with final approval of a resolution supporting the Colorado River Municipal Water District's ongoing efforts to educate the public on the need for water conservation.
Talks between CRMWD and its member cities â including Big Spring â have been ongoing for some time now, centering around water conservation heading into the coming summer, when water usage in the Crossroads area is expected to be at its highest point.

POST â The Big Spring Steers have had a little more than a week of preparation for their bi-district playoff game against Bowie Tuesday.
But the way they ended the regular season â a 69-54 loss at Abilene Wylie â is still fresh in their minds. So head coach Cliff Thompson and the Steers didnât mind expressing how good a 74-58 win over Paducah felt, even if it was a playoff warm-up game.
âWe needed that after that Wylie game,â he said. âWe didnât play well. Paducah is a good team. Just Monday, they beat Seminole, who won their
3A district. We played well and that was good to see.â
