Gerald Wayne â€śShotgunâ€ť Burrow Sr., 80, died April 15, 2011. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo.
Sarah McDonald Boyd passed away into the arms of her Lord Friday evening, April 15, 2011. She was surrounded by her family. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Nalley Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011. Services will be at First Baptist Church of Big Spring on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 10 a.m. Graveside services will be held in Sulphur Springs, on Wednesday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at the Sulphur Springs City Cemetery.

The Big Spring Rotary Club is having its first putt-putt tournament to benefit PolioPlus. The tournament is set for April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Park and Putt Family Fun Center, located on South U.S. Highway 87.
A Sterling City man was taken to the emergency room at Scenic Mountain Medical Center after crashing his vehicle on Gregg Street following a car chase with law enforcement officials that lasted more than 40 miles.
According to Howard County Sheriff Stan Parker, local law enforcement officials received a call from officers in Sterling City at approximately 2:30 p.m.

â€˘ BRENDA DAWN CHILDERS, 29, of 2403 Carlton, was arrested Saturday on charges of speeding and failure to appear.
â€˘ JAMEY SCOTT JOHNSON, 48, transient, was arrested Saturday on charges of pedestrian failing to yield the right of way to a vehicle and standing in roadway to solicit a ride.
â€˘ RAUL GONZALES, 59, of 1806 Owens, was arrested Saturday on a warrant from another agency and a warrant for assault â€“ family violence.
