Norma Jean Abundez and Rick Cantu, both of Mission, would like to announce their engagement.
Norma is the daughter of Paul and Bonnie Abundez, of Big Spring. She is a 2003 graduate of Mission High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas Pan American. She is currently employed as a middle school teacher.
Rick is the son of Eleazar and Maria A. Cantu, of General Bravo, Nuevo Leon. He is a 2001 graduate of Mission High School. He is currently employed by Geek Squad at Best Buy in McAllen.
The couple plans to exchange wedding vows June 25, 2011 in Mission.
Marisa Rodriguez and Rudy L. Granado announce the birth of their son, Max Levi Rodriguez Granado. He was born Feb. 28, 2011 at 8:33 pm. He weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
His maternal grandparents are Juan P. Rodriguez and Eutilia Rodriguez of Big Spring and his paternal grandmother is Paula Granado.
