The Howard College men's and women's conference basketball games against South Plains College scheduled for tonight will be played at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum. Hawk Homecoming activities will continue as scheduled and the Homecoming Court will be presented between the two games tonight.

Roberson, Lindem sign

Big Spring seniors Devin Roberson and Chris Lindem signed letters of intent to play college football next season on Wednesday afternoon during a special ceremony in front of the student body. Roberson signed to play next fall at Tarleton State University, while Lindem inked a deal to play at Cisco College. See story in Thursday's edition of the Big Spring Herald.

Win over Rangers give Steers playoff bid

Big Spring head coach Ian Ritchey took a deep breath after watching his team grind out a 56-49 victory over the Midland Greenwood Rangers on Tuesday night in front of a huge crowd in the Steer Gym and took it for what it was. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was win.
It was a huge win that gave Big Spring its ultimate goal - a berth in the Class 3A state playoffs.

Big Spring High School head coach Mike Warren wasn’t disappointed following the Lady Steers’ 47-36 loss to the Midland Greenwood Rangerettes. In fact, he was just the opposite even though the loss dropped his squad into a play-in situation as far as the Class 3A playoffs are concerned.

Fannin’s double-double helps Forsan rip Tahoka

Kade Fannin turned in a personal-best performance and the Forsan defense put the clamps on Tahoka in the second half on Tuesday and powered the Buffaloes to a 69-54 win over the Tahoka Bulldogs in a key District 6-A, Div. I, showdown.
