$10,000 raised by Eagles for WTC Children in Need Fund

February 3, 2011

West Texas Centers and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3188 raised $10,680 during Ninth Annual Children-In-Need Chili Cook-off Jan. 29 at the Eagles Lodge.

Close to 40 cooks participated in the cook-off, which awarded prizes to the top 10 entrants.

The chili cook-off has grown in popularity as evidenced by the number of participants and visitors who pay to sample the chili, said Landon Sturdivant, West Texas Centers Chief Operating Officer.

All money raised goes toward West Texas Centers’ Children in Need Fund, which provides money to children who may have a special one-time need.
