2 killed in Martin County crash

Two people were killed and three others were transported to area hospitals following a traffic accident Monday evening on Highway 176 approximately six miles east of Highway 349 in Martin County, according to officials with the Department of Public Safety.

Otis Nesbit, 50, a truck driver out of Millersview, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at approximately 8:59 p.m. by Martin County Justice of the Peace Jerrall Hedrick.

Also killed was 61-year-old Antonio Mujita of Andrews, who was pronounced dead by Hedrick at approximately 9:02 p.m., according to DPS records. Four different vehicles were involved in the accident, said DPS Communications Office Gilbert Villarreal.
