The party was held in the home of grandson Michael and wife Melissa Nairn in Big Spring. The party was attended by all of Ted and Nora’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as several other members of their families. There were five generations of the Nairn family in attendance.
Their grandson, Josef and wife Kim, also live in Big Spring. Their son, Mike and his grown children, live in Indiana. Son Jeff and wife Lea Ann Nairn live in League City, Texas. Their daughter, Julie and husband Andy Duke, live near Montague, Texas, and their son, Mark Nairn, was lost in an automobile accident in 2002 near Tyler. Grandchildren Tyler Nairn and Ali Hilger attend Big Spring High School.
Ted and Nora were married April 1952 in their hometown of Pittsburg, Kan. They made their home in Kansas and Illinois before transferring to Big Spring with Cosden in 1972. Ted retired from the Fina refinery in 1997 and Nora retired later from Germania Insurance.
They continue to spend retirement enjoying their families, traveling and researching family history as well as taking care of their health.
