Abigail Daisy "Abby" Valencia, 17, of Big Spring died Saturday Sept. 21, 2013, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. A vigil service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born Sept. 23, 1995, to Maria Magdalena Enriquez and Adam Valencia Sr., in Big Spring. She was a Catholic and a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She was employed by Whataburger and Wendy's restaurants.

She is survived by one daughter, Sophia Rangel of Big Spring; her mother, Magdalena "Maggie" Enriquez of Big Spring; six sisters, Mary Gomez and husband Israel of Abilene, Bianca Olivares and husband Frank of Lamesa, Adrianna Harrison and husband Lawrence, Vanessa Valencia, Tiffany Enriquez and Cristal Lopez, all of Big Spring; two brothers, Adam Valencia Jr. and wife Naomi and David Martinez Valencia of Big Spring; her grandmother, Frances Enriquez of Big Spring; 19 nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father, Adam Valencia Sr.; grandparents, Armando Enriquez and Bernanda and Sabino Valencia; and one sister, Guadalupe Enriquez Valencia.
