Abraham Espinoza Jr., 74, of Big Spring died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Texas Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born March 31, 1938, in Eola, Texas, to Micaela and Abraham Espinoza Sr. He grew up in San Angelo and moved to Big Spring in 1961. He married Martina (Martha) Robles on Sept. 12, 1961, in Big Spring.
He worked 16 years at BSISD, mostly at Anderson Kindergarten Center. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martina (Martha) Espinoza of Big Spring; seven daughters, Janie Martinez and husband Marcos of Fort Worth, Bonnie Abundez and husband Paul of Pearsall, Sandra Corona and husband Tony of Brownwood, Veronica Rodriquez and husband Carlos, Ernestina DeHoyos and husband Victor, Emily Gonzales and husband George and Devoun Blount and husband Jeremy, all of Big Spring; four sons, Bobby Espinoza, Oscar Espinoza and wife Lorraine, all of Visalia, Calif., Michael Robles and wife Dora and Steven Robles and wife Nancy, all of Big Spring; one brother, Arturo Espinoza of Carrollton; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Joey Robles; three sisters; and one brother.
