September 28, 2013

It’s that time of year! Ag Appreciation Day is just around the corner.
All area farmers and producers will be guests of honor at the 22nd Annual Ag Appreciation Day on Thursday, Oct. 10.
“The Chamber is excited to announce that this year’s event will be held in the newly built G.C. Broughton Ag Complex on the Howard College Campus,” said Debbye ValVerde, chamber executive director.
The day will begin at 7:30 a.m.with a breakfast at the ag complex provided by Franklin & Son Tire. Tours of area farms will begin at 8. That will be followed by a noon luncheon provided by the 4H Club Leaders of Howard County. Guest speaker for the luncheon will be Jonathan Jennings, project meteorologist with the West Texas Weather Modification Association.
