Alfredo Hinojos, 79, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Sept. 27, 1934, in Big Spring to Jesusita and Gil Hinojos. He worked a number of years at the Howard County Library. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a Catholic.
He is survived by Louise of Big Spring; one son Alfredo Harper Hinojos of Big Spring; two brothers Henry Hinojos and his wife Cruz of Big Spring and Richard Hinojos and his wife Rebecca of Phoenix; three sisters Socorro Olvera and Consuelo Zuniga, both of Big Spring, and Linda Ortiz and her husband Richard of Austin; one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
