Alice Loraine Baker Rueda, 64, of Big Spring died Monday, July 16, 2012, at Midland Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Big Spring, Texas, to Audie and Alvin Baker. She has been a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She married Johnny Rueda in 2002 in Big Spring. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the nursing home and at the Big Spring State Hospital. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Rueda of Big Spring; son, Billy Tillapaugh and wife Dara of Denver, Colo.; three step-sons, Johnny Rueda Jr., of El Paso, Anthony Joseph Rueda and William Daniel Rueda, both of Lubbock; three grandsons and one granddaughter; her mother, Audie Baker of Big Spring; two sisters, Susie Roach and husband Jerry and Glenda Bray and husband Speck, all of Big Spring; five brothers. Alvin Baker and wife Edith of Coahoma, Robert Baker, Nathan Baker and wife Trina, Jimmy Baker and Jessie Baker and wife Connie, all of Big Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, David Tillapaugh.
