Ann Carson, 79, of Big Spring, died Thursday Sept. 26, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Graveside services and burial will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Reklaw, Texas.
She was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Elida, N.M., to Della and Lilton Stringer. She was a long time resident of Howard County, moving to Big Spring in 1966. She married Marvin Kenneth "Kit" Carson in 1966 and in 1991. He preceded her in death Oct. 17, 2002. She was a Lutheran and a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Theresa Elizabeth Jacob and husband Larry of Freemont, Neb., Melissa Carson Young and Patricia Kay Rawls of Big Spring; two sons, Robert Marvin Carson of Big Spring and Rick Lindsey of Stamford; two brothers: Everett Harcrow of Victoria, Lilton Stringer of Waco and one son-in-law Butch Fasshauer of Waco; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Ann Fasshauer and four brothers, Billy Jack Stringer, Sam Stringer, Tommy Harcrow and Charles Stringer.
