Anselmo 'Popo' Hilario

Anselmo “Popo” Hilario, 57, of Big Spring died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Hospice Midland Inpatient Unit. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born April 19, 1955, in Big Spring, Texas, to Pilar and Jacinto Hilario. He was a self-employed contractor. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a Catholic.

He is survived by his wife Annette (Anita) Hilario of Big Spring, two daughters, Tina Hilario and spouse Chance Gana and Pilar Hilario, all of Big Spring; three sons, Anselmo “Mito” Hilario Jr. and wife Meagan, B.J. Hilario and husband Kim and Maurice Neal, all of Big Spring; six brothers, Celia Rodriguez of Chowchilla, Calif., Jacinto “Blackie” Hilario, Concepcion “Chinee” Viera, Lorenzo “Chio” Hilario, Robert “Wawe” Hilario and Rudy “Pipe” Hilario, all of Big Spring; and two sisters, Florinda “Toto” Lopez of Dalhart, Texas, and Margarita “Peche” Salinas of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Angel Neal on Feb. 4, 2009, and one sister, Gloria Garcia.
