Antonio Guzman Gonzalez, 69, of Big Spring died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at his residence. No local services are planned. Interment will take place at the Cemeterio Municipal in Irapuato, Mexico.
Antonio was born June 26, 1942, in San Diego de la Union, Guanajuato, Mexico, and married Maria Guzman on March 18, 1976.
Antonio moved to the United States in 1976 and then to Big Spring in 1986. He worked in both the oilfield and cotton fields of West Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Gonzalez of Big Spring; three daughters, Julie Lopez and husband Santos, Catalina Lazo and husband Jose and Flora Gonzalez, all of Big Spring; three sons, Antonio Gonzalez and wife Teresa of Big Spring, Javier Gonzalez and David Gonzalez and wife Katie, all of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; one brother, Lino Gonzalez; and three sisters, Margarita Gonzalez, Sophia Gonzalez and Asuncion Gonzalez, all of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio and Catalina (Guzman) Gonzalez; one son, Florencio Gonzalez Jr.; one grandson; two brothers, Luis Gonzalez and Crispin Gonzalez; and two sisters, Engracia Gonzalez and Elvira Gonzalez.
