Antonio 'Tony' Zavala-Martinez

Antonio “Tony” Zavala-Martinez, 51, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in Howard County. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born April 1, 1962, in Mexico to Evangelina and Jose Jesus Zavala-Martinez. He moved to Howard County 32 years ago from Mexico. He married Maria Luisa Martinez on Oct. 21, 1984, in Lamesa. He was employed by the Texas Department of Public Safety and was a member of Lighthouse Restoration Center.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Zavala-Martinez of Big Spring; two daughters, Marissa Zavala and Adriela Zavala, both of Big Spring; six sisters and four brothers, Maria Socorro Zavala-Martinez, Anna Zavala-Martinez, Maria Cruz Zavala-Martinez, Maria Del Rosario Zavala-Martinez and Rafael Zavala-Martinez, all of Mexico, Agustin Zavala-Martinez of McKinney, Jose Jesus Zavala-Martinez and Juan Zavala-Martinez, both of Big Spring, and Petra Zavala-Martinez and Evangelina Zavala-Martinez, both of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
