Area basketball: BSHS girls pick up win

MONAHANS — Cerbi Ritchey’s 20 points powered the Big Spring Lady Steers past Monahans 55-43 in non-district action.Throughout District 5-3A play, the Lady Steers had been in a shooting slump, but with the win over Snyder Friday and Monday’s win over Monahans, Big Spring seems headed in the right direction with Abilene Wylie on tap at home. Diamond Mayes chipped in 10 points while Mackenzie Stone hit two 3-pointers. The gave Big Spring its 17th of the season.
