COAHOMA — Coahoma head coach Kim Nichols continues to stress putting four quarters together as the Bulldogs dropped a District 3-2A contest to Denver City at home.
Tanner Ruiz’s 16 points weren’t enough to keep the Bulldogs around in this game. The Bulldogs cut a deficit to seven twice late in the game, but Denver City was just too much.
Things haven’t exactly gone the Bulldogs’ way so far in district play with injuries, among other things, ailing the team, but Nichols said his group is still positive about halfway through district play.

COAHOMA — The Coahoma Bulldogettes were without Lynzi Ferrell and Minnie Goodblanket, but head coach Mitzi Bell wasn’t disappointed with the 39-27 loss to Denver City Tuesday night.
With a young lineup on the floor, the head coach said she was proud of the way her players battled. A 22-7 second quarter in favor of Denver City hurt them, however.
Still, the Bulldogettes would like to have Ferrell and Goodblanket back, who are both injured. Ferrell has a shoulder injury and Goodblanket is having problems with her knee.

He said he was proud of his team’s effort, though. The Lady Buffs were down by seven at the half and got as close as six in the third quarter. They just couldn’t get over the hump.
