Area schools to start classes later than usual Tuesday

Snowy weather has forced school district officials at Big Spring, Forsan and Coahoma to dismiss classes early today.

Classes at the three districts will let out at noon today and all athletic activities scheduled for tonight have been postponed until a later date or cancelled outright.

In addition, the monthly meeting of the Forsan ISD board of trustees scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight has been cancelled.

UPDATE (1:35 p.m.): Coahoma and Forsan officials said Tuesday classes will begin at 10 a.m.

UPDATE (2:35 p.m.): Classes at Glasscock County, Stanton and Grady schools will begin at 10 a.m. No buses will run at Stanton.

UPDATE (6 p.m.): Classes at Big Spring ISD will begin at 10 a.m.
