The Desert Flower Art Bar is hosting another Artwalk in downtown tonight, bringing in vendors from all around the area with arts and crafts, live music, and food trucks.
The Artwalk is attempting to set a regular presence in downtown as they host their third event which brings in regional artists to sell their work and give demonstrations.
“Hopefully it’s always going to be on the first Saturday of the month,” said Jeremiah Peters, who helps organize the event. “We are looking for farmers, artists, craft vendors, cool food.”
Peters also mentioned that the spaces they rent out to the artists are always free. So anyone who has art, crafts, homemade goods, or anything similar can get in contact with Peters to reserve a space.
There will also be live music performed by Eddie Austin, Scott Jones, Michael Hernandez and some other local artists. There will also be a movie screening of “Gulliver’s Travels” with popcorn and plenty of events for the children.
The Artwalk is set to kick off at 6 p.m. in downtown Big Spring on Second Street between Runnels and Scurry Street and is planned to last till around midnight.
