Backes—Lefler wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Backes

Henry Vernon Backes and Pamela Kay Lefler were united in marriage by the honarable Judge Benny Green, in an evening wedding June 1, 2012, in the lush private garden at their home in Big Spring, Texas.
Pamela wore a custom made, white, floor length Karelina Sposa fitted, mermaid gown of satin, embellished with pearl beading, embroidery with a lace halter neckline and chapel length train. The bride’s hair was adorned with an eternity tiara encrusted with sparkling teardrop crystals. The bridal attendants were Pamela’s mother, Shirley Cross of Big Spring, Texas and Pamela’s aunt, Sue Cothren of Denver City, Texas. Each of her attendants wore elegant cream colored knee length gowns and carried bouquets of gardenias complementing the bride’s large bouquet of gardenias accented by trailing freesia bloosoms.
Henry wore a cream colored, evening tuxedo with accents of white, highligted with a gardenia boutonniere. The groomsmen, Shane Mayhall, Dakota Backes and Ethan Backes, all of Big Spring, wore tuxedos echoing the elegance of the groom’s tuxedo and gardenia boutonniere. Jordan Backes, the family’s black, standard poodle served as the couple’s ring bearer.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed the decadence of Cindy Hoard’s custom prepared three-tiered vanilla fondant, wedding cake covered in hand prepared sugar gardenia and freesia bloosoms and a raspberry filling accompanied with a bubbling orange sherbet punch.
After a three-week family vacation in Santa Fe, N.M. and Denver, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Backes, Dakota and Ethan are continuing business as usual with Full Moon Roofing, a local Big Spring operation.
