Beach Boys coming to Garrett Coliseum

The Big Spring Symphony Orchestra, in conjunction with Jeans ‘n Classics of Toronto, Canada, will present the music of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys in concert April 30 in the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.

“We’re fortunate to have such a gifted group of musicians come to Big Spring and play the music of Endless Summer,” said Dr. Keith Graumann, symphony conductor.

The evening will begin with some favorite Beach Boys songs including “California Girls,” “In My Room,” “Don’t Worry. Baby,” “Help Me Rhonda” and “The Warmth of the Sun.” Following intermission, the second part of the program will feature “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Sloop John B,” “Surfer Girl,” “Good Vibrations,” “Kokomo” and others.

Tickets are available at the Big Spring Herald, KBST Radio, Western Bank, Faye’s Flowers, Blum’s Jewelers, the Heritage Museum and the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce. Prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.

Dorothy Garrett Coliseum is located on the Howard College campus. The concert will begin at 8 p.m.
