Becky Salgado, 47, of Big Spring, died Tuesday Aug. 12, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Knudson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Becky was born to Josie and Armando Salgado Feb. 23, 1967, in Big Spring. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She married Simon Alcantar, who preceded her in death in 1999. She worked as a baker for Great Western Dining. She loved baking, collected bears and snowmen. She also enjoyed decorating cakes.

She is survived by four children: Adriana Dione Salgado, Samantha Jo Rodriguez and her husband David, Danielle G. Alcantar and her husband Ronnie E. Leal and Zachery M. Salgado, all of Big Spring; four grandchildren; her father, Armando Salgado; two sisters, Margaret Sumner of Big Spring and Olga Williamson of Dallas; one brother, Armando Salgado Jr. and wife Suzanne of Big Spring; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her mother; and her grandson.
