Becky Salgado, 47, of Big Spring, died Tuesday Aug. 12, 2014, at her residence. A prayer service will be held Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Kevin Knudson officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Becky was born to Josie and Armando Salgado on Feb. 23, 1967 in Big Spring. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She married Simon Alcantar, who preceded her in death in 1999. She worked as a baker for Great Western Dining. She loved baking, collecting bears and snowmen. She also enjoyed decorating cakes.

She is survived by four children, Adrianne Dione Salgado, Samantha Jo Rodriguez and her husband David, Danielle G. Alcantar and her husband Ronnie E. Leal and Zachery M. Salgado, all of Big Spring; four grandchildren, Hailey M. Salgado, Mkenzie Calderon, Brandon R. Rodriguez and Helena K. Rodriguez; her mother and father, Josie and Armando Salgado of Big Spring; two sisters, Margaret Sumner of Big Spring and Olga Williamson of Dallas; one brother, Armando Salgado Jr. and wife Suzanne of Big Spring; many nieces and nephews, including Robert Sumner, who was like a brother to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Landon Joshua Leal; nephews Brandon Sumner and Joshua Williamson; and brother-in-law Bobby Sumner.

Those serving as pallbearers are A.J. Ontiveros, Alan House, Bobby Rivera, Macedonio Landin, Marcus DeLeon, Marcus Porras, Pat Rodriguez, Richard Alcantar, Ronnie Leal and Jacob Kimball.
