Ben Dominguez, 49, of Big Spring died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will follow the vigil at 11 a.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born Nov. 18, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyo., to Maria Gloria Chavarria and Pete Gonzales Dominguez. He has been a resident of Big Spring since 1964. He graduated from Big Spring High School and played varsity football. He worked at the Senior Citizens Center for more than 20 years. He then worked for three years at Southwestern A-1 Pest Control.

He is survived by one daughter, Mandi Dominguez of Big Spring; his mother, Maria Dominguez of Big Spring; two sisters, Vicky Rodriguez and husband Ernest of Odessa and Angelique Latimer and husband Billy of Big Spring; five brothers, Billy Dominguez, John Dominguez and wife Irene, all of Big Spring, Raymond Dominguez and wife Sandra of Austin and Anthony Dominguez and Gus Marquez of Big Spring; three nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Gomez.
