June 27, 2012

Bennie Maurine Pittman, 58, was born Jan. 18, 1954, and went to meet her heavenly father June 24, 2012, so she could play that white baby grand piano in heaven. She was at Baylor Cancer Hospital, Dallas, where she touched the lives of many doctors and nurses.

Funeral services for Maurine will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Big Spring with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the funeral home.

Maurine was a senior vice president of the Big Spring Education Employees Federal Credit Union for 18 years. She and Gale are members of the First Baptist Church of Big Spring and Maurine was a member of the Kiwanis Club. She enjoyed playing the piano at the VA Hospital until becoming ill.
