Bernice L. Jones, 90, of Camdenton, Mo., formerly of Big Spring died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, in a nursing home in Camdenton, Mo. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time.

She was born May 22, 1921, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Eluid Amesworth Jones in 1938 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death April 4, 1997.

Bernice loved to write poetry and was often published in the Big Spring Herald. She enjoyed painting with oil, acrylic and water colors and was a member of the local artist guild. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Mitchell and Carol Jones of Brownwood; and many nieces and nephews, including Kent Reed of Camdenton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lois Ferguson and Ollie Ruth Box; two brothers, Holden Reed and William Clifton Reed; and two nieces, Jeanie Pitts and Margaret Hollis.
