Bertha Mae Jolley, 85, of Big Spring, died Tuesday Dec. 3, 2013, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Ulysses Mathews of West Highway 80 Church of Christ officiating.
She was born Jan. 13, 1928, in Waurika, Okla. She spent most of her life in Howard County. She was very active in her church and worked in Nursing Services for the Big Spring State Hospital for many years. She was a cook in Big Spring at different restaurants as well as the original Settles Hotel.
She is survived by one daughter Paula Jolley of Big Spring; two sons Brian Jolley and Tommy Lee Mitchell, both of Big Spring; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son Ronnie Jolley and two daughters, Milinni Turner and Valerie Woods.
