Bessie Ruth Green, 96, of Lenorah, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Manor Park in Midland. Memorial services were tol be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Stanton with the Rev. Monte Kreis, officiating.
The family will received friends Friday, Oct.26, 2012, at Gilbreath Funeral Home.
Ruth was born in Roxton, Texas, Sept. 26, 1916, to Wincie H. and Daisy Lillian Dale Maness. She graduated from Wellman High School. She married Odee Green on April 25, 1936 in Brownfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stanton.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her six brothers and sisters; her husband, Odee; two sons, J.D. Green and Bud Green; and one grandson.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Allred of Stanton and Joyce Gerdes (Paul) of Weatherford; and son, Lonnie Green of Stanton. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
