Betty A. Earl

Betty A. Earl, 79, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

She was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Beckley, W.Va. She married Samuel Ronald Earl in Beckley, W.Va. and he preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1980.

She moved to Big Spring with her husband, who was stationed at Webb Air Force Base. Betty retired from J.C. Penney after 18 years in shoe sales.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Earl, Mary Earl and Avis Earl all of Big Spring; one sister, Emma Bowles of Beckley, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank Poindexter, Jack Poindexter and Wiley Poindexter; and one sister, Eva Poindexter.
