Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, May. 12, 2012, at Clark Memorial United Methodist Church for Betty Jo Gray of Artesia, N.M.
Mrs. Gray, 76, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Eastern N.M. Medical Center in Roswell, N.M.

Travis Husted will officiate the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Betty was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Big Spring, Texas, the daughter of Forrest F. Thorp and Lottie L. (Prentice) Thorp. She was a longtime Artesia resident.

On Aug. 21, 1965, she was married to Walter M. "Joe" Gray in Artesia. He preceded her in death Aug. 12, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Bobby and Donnie Thorp.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of Clark Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Mike Teel and wife Deanna of Oklahoma, Randy Teel and wife Arleen of Pojoaque, N.M., and Darold Gray and wife Michell of Artesia; daughter, Debra Hope of Artesia; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
