Bettye J. Griffith, 78, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Marcy House. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at East Fourth Baptist Church with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born June 15, 1934, in Winters, Texas, to Juanita and Arthur Dean. She grew up in Forsan and married Royce Griffith on Aug. 10, 1952, in Forsan. He preceded her in death Dec. 6, 2006. She worked as a bank teller for many years at First National Bank in Big Spring. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a member of East Fourth Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Veanda Jones and her husband Bill of Georgetown; four grandsons, Brant Jones and Christi Jones of Grapevine, Blake Jones and his wife Holly of San Antonio, Landon Jones and his wife Jovanna of Midland and Lastain Jones of Austin; six great-grandchildren, Brooks Jones, Ellorie Jones, Jedediah Jones, Saila Jones, Ryder Jones and Aurelia Jones; two brothers, Randy DEan and his wife Sydney of Perryton and Ricky DEan and his wife Lana of Winslow, Ind.; one sister, Barbara Tilley and her husband Marshall and daughter Rhonda of Amarillo; and three sisters-in-law, Pennie DEan and her daughters Annisa and Genifer of Big Spring, Hattie Griffith of Forsan and Reta Crenshaw of Plano.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry DEan.
