Beverly Ann Shockley

Beverly Ann Shockley, 71, of Plano, formerly of Big Spring, died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, in a Carollton nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born on March 10, 1940, in Big Spring, Texas.

She was an honors graduate from Texas A&M University. Beverly was a school teacher and librarian in Knott and then a librarian in Plano. She then went to work for Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance in Plano, retiring as the secretary to the president.

Survivors include her mother, Hazel Shockley of Big Spring; one brother, Junior Casas and wife Sue of Knott; four nephews; and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.B. Shockley.
