Bill Griffen

Bill Griffen, 73, of Big Spring died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

He was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Mechanicsville, N.Y., to Nettie (Poucher) and William Herbert Griffen. He married Darlene Brooks on June 29, 1968, in Old Lyme, Conn. The couple relocated to Big Spring in 1993 from Connecticut. He was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Griffen of Big Spring; two daughters, Kelley Griffen of Alabama and Holly Wahlstrom of Connecticut; six grandchildren; and one sister, Patty Rothowski of Arizona.
